A home remodel is a big investment, and it makes sense (or cents!) that you want to look for ways to save money on your kitchen remodel or bath remodel without skimping on the quality of the outcome. We’ve had clients in the past wonder if they could save money by buying their own materials.

The answer is – probably not.

Remodeling companies, like USI Design & Remolding, have deeply rooted relationships with many of the materials suppliers in your area. Because we are such good customers, these suppliers often give us discounts, which we pass on to you. (Remember, contractors want to give you a competitive bid, so it isn’t in our interest to keep discounts and charge you full price.)

Additionally, the project goes much more smoothly when the contractor handles materials ordering. If you order your materials and they don’t arrive, or if there’s a problem with the order, it can take a lot of extra time and headaches for the contractor to figure out what went wrong.

There are plenty of ways you can save money on your remodel…buying your own materials just isn’t one of them! If you want a fair price for a quality bath or kitchen remodel in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, contact us.
