Project: Contemporizing a Traditional Home

Client experiences:

Texas traditional is a style familiar to those of us who were raised here. For this Tucson family, their kitchen and connected rooms needed to punctuate their sense of style and sophistication.Gutting wasn’t an option, the rooms already had the versatility they needed – what was lacking was an identity.

A successful meeting:

The original kitchen layout was functional but appliances and the overall look were dated. We outlined preliminary ideas for new architectural additions and did a space plan for a new built-in cooktop ventilation system and an under-counter wine refrigeration appliance. To wash away shadows, a custom LED lighting treatment was built into the overhead bar structure as well as underneath the bar.

Project Summary:

Good design themes always evoke consistent and positive feelings, and through careful and cooperative development in this project, the kitchen and connected rooms convey the best elements of professional interior design.

Project scope:

  • Remodeled kitchen, (Replacing 35% of the cabinetry), formal dining and living room refresh.
  • Installed high-level stone counters with new mosaic backsplash.
  • Installed new plumbing fixtures, hardware, and appliances.
  • Installed custom millwork, and integrated LED lighting throughout the kitchen.
  • Painted throughout.
